Idaho

July 4 Pend Oreille Lake, Sandpoint, Idaho

Beautiful day to be out sailing....

Everyone enjoying the 4th at the beach "in the middle of Idaho"
Who would have known?????

One of the tributaries feeding Pend Oreille

Pizza and a beer here. Nice day to sit outside.

Charlottes not all fun and games. She's work'n on a project.

View out the front door at Blue Lake RV

Blue Lake and the RV resort in the distance. This lake
is over 50' deep and fed from the bottom. Had diver's
come and they couldn't reach the bottom even with
their measuring equipment. So unsure of how deep?

Our home perched atop the hill.

View from little 9 hole golf course I played a couple
of times. Nice walk and the golf really didn't
spoil it.

The Idaho look.

Its kind of been another week of rest and relaxation. We arrived at Blue Lake RV just south of Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Monday afternoon. Drove into Bonners Ferry on Tuesday. Small town of just over 2000 I believe but, it did have a brewpub. So, we had dinner there. On Wednesday, we drove south to Sandpoint which sits on Pend Oreille Lake. 4th of July and quite a few people enjoying there day there, including us. We walk around town looking in shops and the like and then had lunch outside at The Loading Dock. Walk to the beach and park area where many were picnicing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Thursday I played golf at a little 9 holer just up the road from the house while Charlotte worked on one of her projects. We both went to play again on Friday, but Charlotte's shoulder will not let her swing a club without excruciating pain. Gonna have to get that fixed. Enjoyed our walk though and watched a little of the Greenbrier Classic afterwards in the clubhouse. Glad we weren't there in all that heat. Thought last year was bad. Can't imagine how it was this year. They have a little wine bar here at the RV park on Friday and Saturday evenings and we just had to participate. Met a couple from Kimberly, Alberta, Canada and really enjoyed conversation both evenings.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Today has been a day of preparation. We're leaving the RV here in storage at Blue Lake and taking the Honda up to Canmore, Alberta, Canada tomorrow for a 3 night stay at a lodge there. Hoping to take in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. We'll return here Thursday for another nights stay in the RV before heading out Friday for Missoula, Montana. Hope I have lots of beautiful pictures for the next blog. Until then, be safe!!!!
