We have now made our way into Oregon. First stopping a couple of nights in Benbow, CA where we took a drive through the Avenue of Giants. Many, many groves of old redwoods. We must thank our ancestors who came before us for having the forsight to preserve such wonderful spectacles for us and future generations. We then drove on to Klamath, CA where we enjoyed a beautiful campground experience along the Klamath River. We woke up every morning looking out on the river as it flowed to the Pacific. We spotted a black bear along the banks of the river as we were returning to the campground one evening and thought it might make its way to the campground but it never showed. I guess that might be a good thing. Spent four nights there roaming the local roadways and really didn't want to leave but knew we needed to move on. We are now in Coos Bay, OR and will depart here tomorrow for Sister's, OR. Sisters is noted for its annual quilt festival and is a location Charlotte has a hankering to see because she has read so much about it. We won't be there for the festival but she'll get a chance to tour the area and I'm sure visit a few quilt shops.
