Arrived in Klamath, CA Friday late afternoon. 367 miles up Highway 101 which is not an interstate by any means. Lots of sites to see and my favorite campground awaiting made the journey less demanding even as we hit rain towards the end. Klamath River RV is nestled on the shore of the Klamath River as it makes its way to the Pacific. Its so peaceful and relaxing. We only had two nights here so Saturday was our only day to explore "and relax๐".
Saturday morning we made our way to the Trees of Mystery which is a touristy stop north on 101. The most interesting thing at this stopping point is the Indian Museum inside. Its filled with relics of many of the Indian tribes that inhabited the areas.
Saturday afternoon Charlotte and I set the "Kids" (as we've been known to call them) free to explore on there own. They had a successful trip finding elk grazing the local meadows and some up close and personal with some very large trees.
North to Cobourg, OR Sunday for a one night layover.
View from the windows of our RV.
Phil and Casey exploring the campground.
Our view up river.
That's highway 101 crossing the Klamath.
Our Rig enjoying the views as well.
Casey found her a boy toy!๐
Kind of like elf on the shelf. Keeps showing up in
different locations.
Elk grazing the meadows.
Looking both ways before crossing.
Very, very beautiful and peaceful
final resting place.
