                                           This is the Hopi House that has been sitting on the

                                           rim of the canyon since 1904. Designed from ancient

                                           Hopi Indian architecture.

                              

Sign above the entry way to El Tovar Hotel.

Opened its doors in 1905 and has hosted such 

dignitaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein,

and Zane Grey.

Some more pesky campers. Note there "new"

 Wednesday was Grand Canyon day. Phil and Casey took the train. They got robbed by some horseback riding bandits but made it to the canyon unscathed. Charlotte and I drove and arrived just about the same time as the train. We didn't get robbed though. The views from the rim are quite spectacular and as you walk along the views change. We spent the evening in Williams having dinner and being entertained by a shoot out in the middle of town. As you see above, Charlotte got up close and personal to one of the stars of the show and not to be out done I found me a hussy. Fun was had by all!! 

 Thursday was a down day for Charlotte and I while Phil and Casey explored the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forrest. Tomorrow is moving day. On to St. George, Utah.
